Our mission is to Expand HIS Kingdom Across the Street & Around the World. We also believe that you are never more like Jesus than when you are serving. And we have a place for you to plug in and serve here at The Point! Some of our volunteer opportunities have been highlighted below. Included is a complete list of places and ministries that depend on volunteers. Take a moment and see where you may find your place.
Students
We have an outstanding group of students in 7th-12th grades that need adults to invest in them spiritually. There are opportunities to serve on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, at various camps, and through discipleship.
The Point Kids
Our Children’s Ministry is full of fun, energy, and lots of 1st-6th graders. Volunteers serve on Sunday mornings in Connect Groups and age-appropriate worship and on Wednesdays evening with Bible Drill, RAs, & GAs.
Worship TEAM
Our Worship Team includes the Worship Choir with Praise Teams and our band/orchestra. If you have a love for music, plan to attend one of our rehearsals to get to know everyone. We’d love to have you help lead in worship!
Production Team
Our Production Team may be behind-the-scenes but they are an integral part of worship at The Point. If you are tech savvy and would like to consider serving, let us know! We provide all necessary training.
Greeters
We have a team of greeters that love to share a smile and a warm welcome as guests arrive each Sunday morning. Consider joining this team and help us make a great first impression!
Office Volunteer (Monday – Friday)
The church office is where lots of the work leading up to Sunday happens. We always appreciate volunteers that can cover phones during staff meetings, help with special events, and weekly needs like bulletin stuffing.
Security team
Our Security Team is first to be there when needs arise. By maintaining a presence in the parking areas and throughout the building, they respond to vehicle needs, medical emergencies, and more. Teams serve every 4-6 weeks.
Preschool
Our Preschool Ministry is a fun way to share the love of Jesus with children and teach them as they grow. Consider investing in the life of these preschools on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings.
The Point Cafe
Our Point Cafe volunteers get to make Sunday mornings a little brighter for our family of faith! The Cafe serves a variety of drip coffees, canned drinks, and specialty cappuccinos. Volunteers serve Sundays on a rotating schedule.
Special Needs Ministry
Our Special Needs Ministry is sure to bless all who volunteer! Come to one of our monthly Respite Nights and be amazed by our hidden treasures. Volunteers are needed for Respite Nights, Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and VBS.
Discipleship Ministry
Discipleship Groups are small group Bible studies where members live life together, hold each other accountable, and challenge each other in their faith. Discipleship Group Leaders are needed to faciliate group meetings, host home groups, or serve as a co-leader.
Women’s Ministry
Our Women’s Ministry provides opportunities for women of all ages to fellowship together, live life together, and mentor each other all for the glory of God! We offer Bible studies, conferences, holiday events, and more. We would love to have you work alongside us in this ministry!
