The Path Seminar-Family Commitment

Seminars held in May & October

This seminar is led by Pastor Wade and Preschool Director, Angela Cason. The goal is to help parents understand the awesome responsibility to make much of Jesus in their home as they welcome a child. Participation in this seminar is required to take part in the Family Commitment Ceremony typically held on Mothers’ Day and in the Fall.

The Path Seminar-Starting School

Seminars held in August

This seminar is led by Pastor Kevin and Preschool Director, Angela Cason. Parents will learn practical ways to prepare themselves and to give spiritual guidance to their children as they make this first big transition out into the world. This seminar is open to parents of children preparing for kindergarten and first grade.

The Path Seminar-Following Jesus

Seminars held in Fall, Winter, & Spring

This 4 week seminar is led by Pastor Kevin and is open to parents and children in grades 1-6 that are interested in or have questions about salvation or have asked Jesus to be their Lord and Savior. The goal of this seminar is to present a clear presentation of the Gospel and what it means to be a follower of Christ as well as familiarize children with the terms and details surrounding salvation and the baptism ceremony. This seminar is required to participate in the baptism ceremony.

 

The Path Seminar-Path to Purity (Grades 5-8)

Seminars held in November

This seminar is for children in grades 5-8 and is led by Pastor Kevin. Using Biblical principles, It focuses on teaching children to guard their heart with respect to the media and technology they have access to.

The Path Seminar-Path to Purity (Grades 7-12)

Seminar held in January

This seminar is for youth grades 7-12 and is led by Pastor Derek. Parents and students will be given tools for keeping a Biblical view of sex and dating while maintaining a standard of purity as students enter into relationships with the opposite sex.

 

The Path Seminar-Embracing Adulthood

Seminar held in March

Embracing Adulthood is led by Pastor Derek and helps families set goals for spiritual maturity for students in both life and faith while challenging them to rebel against the norm of teenage years. Parents are shown the value of having high expectations and given tools to launch their student out as a mature follower of Christ.

 

The Path Seminar-High School Graduation

Seminars held in November and April

This seminar is led by Pastor Derek and prepares parents and students for this time of transition and the challenges that come with college and the major life decisions students will be making over the next five years all while growing their faith. This seminar is required to participate in the Baccalaureate Ceremony in May.
