Women
Welcome to the Women's Ministry
Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They
are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be
self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the
word of God may not be reviled.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY AT THE POINT
The Women’s Ministry at The Point’s goal is to live out God’s design for women in the church as older women teach the younger women “what is good.” Mothers, grandmothers, single women and college age, this is for you! You can study His Word in any of our bible studies. You can also take advantage of our events that are held throughout the year.
Please check back for information on our studies that are offered throughout the year.

AGE OF OPPORTUNITY: A BIBLICAL GUIDE TO PARENTING TEENS
Mondays FROM 9 – 10:30 A.M.
Age of Opportunity or Season of Survival? Parenting teens can be one of the most daunting phases of raising our children. These are not the years we are only meant to survive…instead each day is an opportunity to enter their lives with help, hope and truth. This book is about hope. It expands on how to come out of cynical thinking and fear, moving into light, examining God’s word and plan as we parent our teenagers.
HOSEA: UNFAILING LOVE CHANGES EVERYTHING
MONDAYS FROM 9 – 10:30 A.M.
A deeply personal and passionate love story, yet a difficult story. As an
account full of harsh judgment unfolds, we find in its midst a rare and pure gem: the truest and purest of loves. Hosea preached his own life message using his marriage as the sermon illustration. The study of Hosea looks deeply at that message. You will be guided to understand, but more especially to apply the message of the prophet of love.
HOW TO STUDY GOD’S WORD USING THE BOOK OF 1 JOHN
Wednesdays at 6 p.m.
So often when we approach the Bible, we bring our heart, soul, and strength, but lack the confidence and “how to” of Bible study discipline to love Him with all of our minds. Together, we will learn Bible study skills, practice new methods, and glean wisdom from our sisters in Christ as we look at the book of 1 John. Bring your own Bible. Study materials will be provided.
1 samuel: who is our king?
Wednesdays at 6 p.m.
It is imperative that we understand God’s Old Testament narrative which
continually points us to the New Testament and Our King. Journey verse-by-verse through a crucial era in Israel’s history. Witness the establishment of a monarchy. Better understand the complex characters introduced throughout the book of 1 Samuel. Delve into this Old Testament book and grasp New Testament truths. Together, we will see how ordinary people are used to accomplish His extraordinary
purposes while directing us to Our King.
the armor of god
WEDNESDAYS AT 6 P.M.
All day everyday an invisible war rages around you. A cunning enemy seeks to wreak havoc in everything that matters to you—your emotions, your mind, your family, your future. Join Priscilla Shirer for a Bible study that will bring light to the war around you and challenge you to suit up, stand firm, and secure victory in your life.
colossians: rooted in him
WEDNESDAYS AT 6 P.M.
Journey through Colossians with Paul and let your heart be filled with awe over the character of God, our need for Him, and the wonder and beauty of our union with Jesus! The book of Colossians is both theological and practical in such a timeless way … with much focus on the problem of false teaching infiltrating the church, and sweet reminders to us of the complete sufficiency of Christ! A need for Jesus ‘plus’ anything is a distortion of the Gospel. Let’s root ourselves in the fullness of His Truth and find encouragement and rest for our souls.
