Welcome to the Women's Ministry
Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They
are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be
self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the
word of God may not be reviled.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY AT THE POINT
The Women’s Ministry at The Point’s goal is to live out God’s design for women in the church as older women teach the younger women “what is good.” Mothers, grandmothers, single women and college age, this is for you! You can study His Word in any of our bible studies. You can also take advantage of our events that are held throughout the year.

Joshua: Winning the Worry Battle
Mondays | 9 – 10:30 A.M.
Led by Joann Bishop, 7 weeks beginning January 27, $11
Have you ever tried to fight worry with faith and felt you were losing the battle? We know we shouldn’t worry, but the reality is we all do at times. In this bible study on the book of Joshua, we will join God’s people as they arrive on the edge of the promised land only to find themselves in hostile territory, faced with fear and uncertainty. Through in-depth study of how God gave the Israelites victory over their enemies and generously blessed them, too, we’ll be equipped with biblical wisdom, encouragement and practical tools that will enable us to overcome our daily worry struggles, as well as the bigger battles fear that we face.

In this 10-session verse-by-verse study of Hebrews, learn how Christ is the substance of the shadowy truths the Old Testament records. Discover how He fulfills and completes the work of angels, prophets, priests, and ceremonial laws, establishing a better covenant. In Christ alone, we have hope and salvation. He alone is the radiance of the glory of God. In Him alone we have access to God the Father. He alone is better!
HOSEA: UNFAILING LOVE CHANGES EVERYTHING
Wednesdays | 6 – 7:30 P.M.
Led by Mary Lynn McLaughlin, 8 weeks beginning January 15, $22
A deeply personal and passionate love story, yet a difficult story. As an
account full of harsh judgment unfolds, we find in its midst a rare and pure gem: the truest and purest of loves. Hosea preached his own life message using his marriage as the sermon illustration. The study of Hosea looks deeply at that message. You will be guided to understand, but more especially to apply the message of the prophet of love.
HOW TO STUDY GOD’S WORD USING PHILLIPPIANS
Wednesdays | 6 – 7:30 P.M.
Led by Ashley Coleman, 10 weeks beginning January 15, $10
So often when we approach the Bible, we bring our heart, soul, and strength, but lack the confidence and “how to” of Bible study discipline to love Him with all of our minds. Together, we will learn Bible study skills, practice new methods, and glean wisdom from our sisters in Christ as we look at the book of Phillippians. Bring your own Bible. Study materials will be provided.
TRANSFORMING GRACE: LIVING CONFIDENTLY IN GOD’S UNFAILING LOVE
Wednesdays | 6 – 7:30 P.M.
Led by Deb Sprecher, 12 weeks beginning January 15, $15
Grace is amazing because it is God’s provision for when we fall short of His standards. Unfortunately, too many of us embrace grace for our salvation but then leave it behind in our everyday lives. Live confidently in God’s unfailing love as you learn about the sufficiency of grace, holiness as a gift of God’s grace, what it means to appropriate God’s grace, and our calling to be free. Abandon the treadmill of performance and step into a daily life of guilt-free intimacy with our Creator.
Secrets Savored: book 3
Thursdays | 6 – 7:30 P.M.
Led by Joann Bishop, 9 weeks beginning January 16
One of the most important ministries a Christian can have is discipleship! Secrets Savored is an excellent tool in carying out this biblical mandate. In a warm and inviting home setting, all women are led to discover and practice godly living.
