Fatherlessness is tearing at the fabric of our country. It is the #1 societal issue that is decimating the family in America. Satan is doing all he can to separate us from God, and destroying the family is his primary tactic. But be encouraged! Together, we can rise to the challenge and face the problems and brokenness in our own communities. God knows what He is doing and shares with us how to combat Satan’s schemes. We must only listen to His heart and follow the instructions He so clearly provides – over 100 times in the Bible! The issue is solvable and right before us – directly within the reach and responsibility of the local church by intentionally and proactively “Defending the cause of the Fatherless…” Isaiah 1:17. By listening to God’s heart, faithfully following His mandate, and using His biblical model of rescue, we have built a successful and field-proven biblical ministry solution to forcefully push back against our broken culture.
Our mission is to rekindle and establish the spirit of boys who have been abandoned by their fathers, mentoring them one-on-one in life skills through outdoor activities, and sharing a Christian understanding of our Heavenly Father’s love and sacrifice for His children. The objective is to heal the deep, anger-filled soul wound that an abandoned boy suffers from and carries with him; thereby stopping the cycle of destruction and fatherlessness. Through advocacy and becoming a leading voice for the cause of the fatherless in America, Fathers in the Field will help ignite a revival of the local church as a cultural change agent in their communities. This is accomplished through the use of the Biblically founded goals of Faith, Fatherhood, and Forgiveness.
