 THE  POINT Day school

The Point Day School is a Gospel-centered program to offer a unique educational model that combines the best of a small classroom instructional experience with an exceptionally strong partnership between the school and the home.  We offer classes for nursery, preschool, and elementary ages from kindergarten to 4th grade.  The Point Day School is a ministry of Longview Point Baptist Church.

Students attend classes on the church campus three days a week and continue their studies in the home-based classroom on other days if necessary.

Benefits to this educational model:

Biblically-based worldview that fosters a growing relationship with Christ. Low student-teacher ratio allows for greater instructional effectiveness meeting individual needs.
Home instruction fosters incrementally greater independence and responsibility in the later school years.

Parents work alongside the classroom instructor who provides direct instruction at the church campus classroom.
Students are well-prepared to responsibly manage future educational endeavors.

Curriculum consists of grade appropriate levels in Saxon Math, Worldly Wise, Shurley English, Beautiful Feet (History), Answers in Genesis (Science), Bible verses, Catechisms, and weekly activities in music, PE, and art. The curriculum builds on foundations beginning in kindergarten and continues through 4th grade.

Jesus’ Amazing Miracles

Every single person has done or said bad things. These bad things – like lying, disobeying our parents, or saying mean things – are called “sin”. Sin keeps us from being close to God. In this series, kids will examine the 7 miracles of Jesus recorded in the book of John – as well as the resurrection – to understand that: Jesus came to “fix it”. Jesus came to fix our damaged relationship with God so that we can be with God forever in heaven.

June 10 – The Little Fix (Jesus Turns Water into Wine) June 11 – Fixing Faith (Jesus Heals the Official’s Son)

June 12 – Unexpected Fix (The Healing at the Pool) June 13 – The Big Fix (The Feeding of the 5,000) June 14 – Fun Day

June 16 – Fearless Fix (Jesus Walks on Water)

June 17 – Know the Fixer (Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind) June 18 – Unfixable? (Jesus Raises Lazarus)

June 19 – Jesus Fixed It! (The Resurrection)

June 20 – Fun Day
